I anticipated quick decisions and a domineering atmosphere, but what I encountered was a complex interplay of strategy, finance, and human dynamics.

Hours were spent dissecting financial reports, debating company direction, and making tough calls on resource allocation.

One of the most surprising aspects was the level of collaboration.

Even during heated debates, there was a mutual respect for differing viewpoints.

The coffee breaks provided invaluable opportunities for relationship building and informal discussions that often led to innovative solutions.

I also learned that humor plays an important role in breaking tension and maintaining a positive atmosphere. A well-timed joke can lighten the mood during a particularly intense discussion.

Perhaps the most crucial lesson I learned is that effective governance isn’t about quick decisions or domineering leadership. Instead, it’s a delicate balance of diverse perspectives, rigorous analysis, and collaborative problem-solving.
