With practically no prep, no fancy gear, no training plan- That’s how I tackled my very first run with a group.
My heart was pounding with a mix of nerves and excitement, meeting a group of runners for the first time
We started out at a nice, easy pace, and I was surprised by how quickly I fell into conversation with the others.
They were all so welcoming, offering tips and encouragement without a hint of judgment.
Halfway through, things took a slightly embarrassing turn… my shoe literally EXPLODED!
But did it stop me?
No!
This is the story of how one crazy run turned running into my lifelong obsession.
It taught me:
-You don’t need everything to get started. YOU are enough. Just lace up and START ANYWHERE.
-Disasters are there to teach you something. Embrace the lessons and keep going!
-The fire that burns within is the most powerful tool you have. Don’t let it dim.
Running is my muse.
It makes me look forward to each new day with excitement.
What’s your muse?
